Nap of The Day

The nap of the day is considered to be a tipster’s best bet across all of their horse racing tips produced. Many factors are considered before nominating the nap of the day, such as the odds, the form, key trends for the race, and whether the horse has previously won over course and/or distance. The term NAP is short for Napoleon and originates from a card game in France. A player would call ‘Napoleon’ when they believe they have won the game.

Nap of The Day Results

The naps table above is a popular racing competition open to tipsters from the top newspapers, websites and other horse racing publications. You can see a tipster’s nap of the day results in the P&L column where their performance across the competition to date is shown as a single profit or loss figure. The figure is based on results to a £1 level stake on every selection at SP odds.

Why Should You Follow the Nap of the Day?

The naps table is a really popular and useful way for punters to select their best bets for the day. Given that it is a collection of all the tipsters’ best bets it allows you to see, at a glance, which horses are popular, which horses are at bigger odds and which horses are at shorter odds (you can use the odds filter to sort the table if you want). You can then select the horses which suit your style of betting and either back them as single or combine them into a multiple bet.

How do I add a nap of the day to my betslip?

Just click the odds button alongside each selection on the naps table to open up the odds comparison display featuring the odds available for the top bookies. Click the odds for the bookie you prefer and this will take you through to the bookmaker’s site usually populating the betslip automatically.
